The UroLift System is a minimally invasive approach to treating BPH for patients looking for an alternative to drug therapy or more invasive surgery. The UroLift System is a straightforward procedure that utilizes tiny implants to lift and hold the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so it no ...longer blocks the urethra. There is no cutting, heating or removal of prostate tissue. Dr Walsh is an expert in treating men with BPH, call to schedule your appointment today.

How Penile Implants Work: Two different penile implants are available: inflatable and malleable. The 3-piece inflatable penile implant is more popular, as although both implant types are custom fitted to your body to allow you to have a satisfactory erection for sexual intercourse, the inflatable ...implant produces a more natural erection while the malleable implant produces a permanently firm penis. Inflatable implants consist of paired cylinders, which are surgically inserted inside the penis by Dr. Walsh, and can be expanded using a pressurized fluid pump placed in the scrotum, which is filled by a reservoir placed in the abdomen. Malleable implants consist of paired firm, but flexible, rods that are surgically placed by Dr. Walsh in the shaft of the penis. The penis is then manually adjusted into the desired position and back down to conceal it. Call AUIatTitus today, Dr. Walsh and FNP Rolon would welcome the opportunity to help you achieve your Urology health goals.

The HoLEP Procedure

HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) uses a holmium laser is a minimally invasive treatment for BPH by removing excess benign prostate tissue. Men with prostates over 60 ml in size are particularly good candidates, as are men taking blood thinners such as aspirin, warfarin, or clopidogrel.

Kidney Stones and Moses Laser Lithotripsy

A kidney stone is a solid concretion of minerals that forms in a kidney when urine has high levels of calcium, oxalate or phosphorus. The urine becomes too concentrated and these substances crystalize to form stones. Kidney stones vary in size and may stay in the kidney or travel down the urinary tract. Symptoms from urinary stones arise when they begin to move down the ureter, sometimes causing intense pain.

Advanced Urology Institute at Titus utilizes the high powered Moses Holmium Laser, which in addition to the above benefits, also decreases surgery time and “dusts” the stone down further, significantly reducing the use of fragment extraction tools, thus even more decreasing the invasiveness. This technique provides for a 95% success rate with a single treatment as accessibility is improved as well as stone migration reduced.

Penile Implants

Problems getting or keeping an erection is called erectile dysfunction, or ED. It’s hard to know how many men in the U.S. have ED, but estimates range from 15 to 30 million. Most of the time, ED has a physical cause and can affect self-esteem, cause frustration, anger, and sadness. The good news is that ED is treatable at any age.
